No program loses more than the Pacers as a stellar senior class that includes the potential MLB Draft picks SS Cam Clayton and RHP George Eisenhardt, along with a host of key contributors throughout the state’s deepest and most imposing lineup.  However, led by the power arm of ‘23 LHP/OF Paul Wilson, an Oregon State recruit, who racked up an impressive amount of strikeouts as a sophomore thanks to a 93 mph fastball, Lakeridge might not miss a beat.  Fellow 2023 INF Dawson Santana, an Oregon recruit, gained valuable experience from the leadoff spot this year, and is likely to shift over to shortstop to fill the vacancy left by Clayton.  Uncommitted ‘23 RHP Erik Hoffberg was the number three starter this year and likely bumps up to two, and a jump from him could boost this squad even more.  Perhaps the biggest lynchpin of the squad will be Utah recruit, C Mason Utech.  His smooth left-handed stroke will play a big part in the middle of the order, but his defensive ability behind the dish might be even more valuable.  Keep an eye on uncommitted 2022s SS/RHP Zach Johnson, OF Alou Dechard, and LHP Gus Rogers.  Each shows plenty of upside , and will likely get greater opportunities with the departure of the talented 2021 group.
